Chris Pettit

Chris Pettit is a Senior Investment Director in the corporate development team at Ingenious, where he’s responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities and relationships across the media sector.

Chris’s primary focus over the last twelve months has been developing a range of investment strategies for Ingenious that seek to capitalise on the exceptional growth of the video games market and assist the talent and companies driving that growth.

Chris has 20 years’ experience working as a lawyer, financier and entrepreneur in the media sector. He has worked on more than 100 film, TV, music and video game deals. He was also instrumental in the introduction of the film rebate scheme in Mauritius where he spent three years working alongside the Prime Minister, the Mauritian government and the Mauritian board of investment to create a ground-breaking policy and investment framework for the audio-visual sector.

In 2008, Chris co-founded production company Arise Pictures. As co-CEO, he was responsible for the corporate, financial and legal operations of the group. He also developed Arise’s investor and strategic partner relationships and produced and structured investments into its slate of projects, including Nomis starring Henry Cavill, Ben Kingsley and Alexandra Daddario.

After graduating from Cardiff University with a BA (Hons) in History, Chris completed his Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School. He started his career at law firm Theodore Goddard (now Addleshaw Goddard) and then worked at Visionview/Element X, SJ Berwin and Global Film Finance.
