Ingenious Clean Energy: Vertigo Energy Limited completes anaerobic digestion plant acquisition
Vertigo Energy Limited, a renewable energy generation company backed by Ingenious Renewable Energy EIS 2, has purchased the development rights to construct an anaerobic digestion (AD) plant on land at Stragglethorpe Farm, Cropwell Butler, Nottinghamshire.
The rights to develop the plant were acquired from Qila Energy LLP and the project consists of an AD plant that will digest approximately 17,500 tonnes of organic material each year. This will produce circa 6,800 MWh of renewable electricity per annum which will be fed into the local electrical distribution network, this is enough to power approximately 2,060 homes.
The AD plant is expected to be operational by the end of Q4 2015 with predictable, index linked revenue streams which will include FITs and RHI rates.
Jonathan Dunn and Imran Sheikh led the deal for Ingenious.
Following completion of the deal, Ingenious Renewable Energy EIS 2 is now fully invested. The final portfolio composition includes 4 Solar Parks, 1 AD CHP plant and 3 AD gas-to-grid plants.
