SERVICE: INGENIOUS INFRASTRUCTURE EIS 2016/17
To achieve attractive, risk–adjusted returns for Investors through investment in companies operating in the infrastructure sector in the UK.
Mutamus Energy Services Limited provides energy efficient technologies for buildings and other structures.
Mutamus has been providing specialist LED lighting for a hydroponic glasshouse in Suffolk, which grows tomatoes. The specialist LED lighting, which only produces a spectrum of light required for the tomato plants and looks pink to the human eye, is significantly more efficient to operate than traditional mixed spectrum LEDs or Halogen lighting. As a result, there is an operational energy saving, a proportion of which is paid to Mutamus under Energy Savings Agreements in return for providing the lighting service.
By financing large CAPEX requirements through Energy Savings Agreements such as the ones provided by Mutamus, companies can manage their cash requirements more effectively and invest in the optimal technology they require. This allows them to expand and grow more rapidly and competitively whilst boosting their own energy efficiency and reaching their low carbon targets.
